Screen Door Artists

Marcia started making found object figures after getting inspired by a visit to the Philly Art Museum and African fertility figures fifteen years ago.  Many of the found objects Marcia uses come from friends who are weavers and textile artists in New England.  Many of the figures are based on whimsy and absurdity.  Marcia did graduate work/daily work in disability policy and always played with craft on the side, until retirement, when she started playing when the spirit moved her.
